How to upload high quality videos?

This might seem a no brainer for you, but i have been having problems with since i started.

Whenever i finish editing a video for TikTok. It looks nice and high quality.

But whenever i upload it to TikTok it feels as if the video went from 1080 to 720. And i can't figure out how to solve it. I can't get the desired quality
