Account keeps randomly following people

I'm having this weird issue where my account keeps following people I know I never hit the follow button on. Usually it's someone who's post I recently viewed or liked.

I know it could just be fat fingering but I really don't think that's the case. It happens almost daily.

Anyone else encountered this or know how to fix it? I don't see any other devices logged in to my account.
