Videos not pausing when viewing image comments anymore

Previously when I opened an image from a comment to enlarge it, it used to pause the video, but a few days ago something changed and now they just keep playing. Is there a setting for this? It was actually pretty convenient as the videos are fully obstructed in this view anyway.
