Gaining followers is the hardest part...

I've went from 0 to 7700 followers in about 9 months time,Haven't always been the most consistent person there is,But anyways my views are decent, Regularly hit more than 10k views...But gaining followers seems to be a different story,Even tough I get many likes comments and etc,Are u guys experience the same issues?My tiktok handle is Jorisfrombelgium,Or should I explicit ask people to drop a follow,Like a cta call every few videos ?
