Having trouble with TikTok promotion

I released my first single a couple weeks ago, and I've been trying to promote it on TikTok; unfortunately, my videos don't get many views (from 300 to 800 max). I tried making videos with lip syncing, lyrics, and comedy (all the popular formulas that I've seen people blow up from). I usually get a lot of engagement, but the algorithm still isn't pushing the videos for more people to see. I'm also considering paying for TikTok promotion because I believe that my content is good, but I dread losing organic views in the future. What should I do?
