Weird error message

I’ve been getting this strange error message whenever I try to use tiktok on my wifi, we have been having wifi issues all day :/ It’s not actually unavailable since i’m able to use it on cellular. Does anyone know why it says this instead of the usual no internet screen? (strangely enough the no internet screen will pop up behind this message lol)

edit: Also to add I tried uninstalling and reinstalling tiktok on my ipad and while I was logged out it told me to relaunch to app because I “recently updated my region” (I haven’t, I live in the US and the ban is not in effect right now) and then I got the same error again
