If you’re running a CI build or a no-ES build (armor or EB/MoM), this perfect essence modifier may do more for your build than the hybrid modifier on your chest.
15% physical taken as chaos is an enormous reduction to physical damage when you have good chaos mitigation. For me, I am a Chayula with 90% chaos resist thanks to ATD.
I think it is generally only worth it on budget or ssf. Even with CI it will just be something like getting 10% more phys max hit and losing 10% elemental max hit at best (depending on how much es inc you have). There are still a lot of elemental damage that can one shot you, and enemies have mods to gain elemental damage as extra. So only being more tanky to phys isn’t ideal. On ssf being able to recomb 2 t1 mods and slam this does seem to be very good though.
But what about elemental damage? The thing about hybrid mod is that it defends against everything.
I think the bigger issue with this is that there's uniques that are more valuable or potentially even mandatory for some builds so getting a rare chest to even put this on isn't even an option.
But I bet there's some killer regalias that could be made to utilize the +1 corrupt and use this as a place holder

Prefix wasting is unacceptable in current state, you need flat defences/life to scale it by tree.
I think the strongest use of this would be on an Amazon that is running stalking panther, life, EV and deflection as for prefixes you could get Max Life + Spirit + 15% Phys Damage Taken as Chaos and you could use the ES/armour base with the spirit implicit, the EV move speed base or the armour life regen base depending on what works best.
Issue is that life isn’t very good and the best way to use stalking panther rn is relying on unique body armour (couture of crimson or morior invictus) to get overleech or lots of raw flat life.

Zero duration Time of Need solves the sustain, all debuffs, and makes earthquake instant. Crown of eyes turn spell damage to attack damage, combined with Mystical Rage and Arcane Intensity gives huge boost in damage. Mana stacking + MoM + Mana Remnant gives big hit pool and boost damage at the same time. 100% reduced crit damage taken on armour helps big time, imo super underrated stats. Decided to try out OB oracle and its absolutely cracked. Definitely the strongest build Ive played to date. I dont even think its necessary to get more damage. Maybe tanker..
