Diable IV advice

After listening to you heathens talk about the difference in D4 and Poe2, I finally gave in and tried Poe2.... you guys were right. It's a phenomenal game, so thank you for explaining all the differences. I'm a witch and I've been loving every minute of it.

I like both games, sometimes I don't want to deal with POE2's bullshit re: endgame crafting and such. Diablo 4 is much more of a "gulp an edible down and play like a god for four hours on a Saturday evening" game.

Both have their place, and D4 has made some steady progress since launch. Really hoping they keep sanctification in for subsequent seasons.

That being said, POE2 Druid clears, passive tree clears (although it's cumbersome enough that I hesitate to point to it when trying to promote the game to friends), the bosses clear - there's a ton of great shit in POE2 as well.

Honestly, having both games on rotation means I'm always eating good for whatever flavor of ARPG I want to play.

Welcome! My advice is, enjoy being new to the game, and don't rush to learn absolutely everything. Play and learn bit by bit about whatever interests you most. For example. My initial seasons I tried out a bunch of different builds. Never pushed too far into endgames. Took three or four builds into t15 maps then tried other stuff. This season I only played a couple characters, and I really pushed into endgame. T16s and farming high value stuff off bosses. Went harder with trade selling stuff to temple spammers. Next season I will probably try to get into crafting earlier on in the league. Thinking about doing a self imposed challenge I call SSC (Solo Self Crafted).

Basically I can trade items for currency but for non-unique gear I can only wear gear I crafted myself.

There are a ton of ways to engage with the game. So explore and do what feels fun and interesting.

I made the leap from the Diablo series also. I missed out on the first POE, so POE 2 was a totally fresh experience. It scratches an itch that Diablo just can’t quite reach now.

Diablo 4 has shit itemzation. Poe2 has exceedingly crazy complicated crafting. As a d2 for life player poe2 scratches that itch that diablo 3, 4, Torchlight never got quite right.

The leap from zero complexity to a pretty good level of complexity can be daunting but definetly worth it. Poe2 has 100X more meaningful content than D4.

D4 is just too limited.

Poe 2 is a great diablo-like game 😏
