Azcapa’s Medallion

Hi, Does anyone know how to increase the drop chance for Azcapa’s Medallion in the Architect’s Chamber? I finally started running the Temple, and today I spent the whole day trying to increase my medallion capacity to the max (6).

I’ve killed the Architect around ~20 times, but I only managed to gain one extra slot. Is that normal RNG, or am I doing something wrong?
