Hi all, so iv just crafted this staff, I was wondering if I should try and sell as is or should I try to reroll Desecration off crit chance for attack speed? not too sure if there are any monk builds out there that can have a lot of attack speed already and so a staff like this is actually wanted? thanks so any advice!
It's not necessary on whirling assault builds.
Attack speed feels good
Whirling assault doesn’t benefit from AS. I’m playing oracle whirling strike, and am actually in the process of crafting one of these myself specifically cus all the ones on the market have AS.
Seriously attack speed has no benefit for whirling assault. I am playing whirling assault/ falling thunder and I would pay more for this than the same thing without crit damage. Just my 2 cents
Im playing a whirling assault/flicker strike monk and I dont have attack speed nor do I think it's needed for what im doing. My focus was high %phys, flat phys, +lvl of attk skills, and extra damage as physical
Not as must as having 3 sockets base with 30% quality

Only if you want to attack faster.
The crit damage bonus and attack speed on weapon are basically multiplicative with other similar stats so have no diminishing return. So people won’t prefer crit damage bonus just because they already have lots of attack speed elsewhere. But crit damage bonus is very good too no reason to reroll.
Just a man and his crossbow. Mercenary is duelist persona tuned up to 11 and I love it.
