Fast XP isn’t always a good thing (my experience)

This isn’t a complaint post, just sharing a personal experience and a bit of advice.

This league I made four characters and genuinely enjoyed leveling and progressing with all of them.

Today, at level 67, I was just chilling in base and reading global chat. I saw someone looking for a leecher for Temple runs and thought, “Why not, let’s see what that’s like.”

After about 15–20 minutes of stacked Temple run… I was level 91.

And honestly, that completely killed my enjoyment of progression and working toward things on my own.

That was definitely my first and last time doing that. I’m not blaming anyone , it was my choice, and this is just my personal experience. But I really wouldn’t recommend it to others, especially newer players who haven’t experienced normal progression yet.

See you next league, exiles.

Trouble is you’ll have also outlevelled your gear so unless you have stacks of divine orbs and exalted to buy some, you’re gonna be pretty stuffed with running like level 3 maps

Diablo4 first 50 levels feel way to fast, stopped enjoying it because of that.

Let me feel my build and progression a reasonable time. Rushing to endgame isnt fun.

I kinda feel this too. I’m on my way to 2nd lv 100 char and it’s too easy lol. I’ve worked my ass off in 0.2 to reach 100, it was rough, and now it kinda feels like I really shouldn’t have done it. 0.2 100 was a whole journey though.

To be honest, I feel like once you get into the endgame there isn't really anything decent in PoE2 to go do.

Having EXP to grind is sort of the only reliable path forward, the other farming is RNG and basically pushes you to trade where you realise you're going way slower than other people who are optimising for money.

You also probably die a lot if you've not powered up properly so you'd also stall your progression for a very long time at the point you stop skipping exp so you just thrust yourself into a game with no progression for like maybe over 10 hours of grinding.

Actually i agree, free exp/currency are just bad for progression feeling and make people leave early.

You don't have to do it if you don't like it.

I haven't done it, but I would probably do it if I do a 3rd character this league, unless i'm too lazy or i'm taking the time to understand my next build. For experienced people who have done leveling 50 times already, that's a very appreciated option. Some people just want new build to play with, and if you already have lots of currencies and plan to use the build to farm for a few days or weeks, skipping 5h has 0 consequence.

Honestly leveling in maps would be the fastest leveling you would have gotten since Act 1.

Also this late into league sitting and progressing tiers 1 by 1 or even skipping certain is waste of time.

In maps progression you get doesn't come as much from levels and your tree as from your gear. Beginning of maps is the moment where your level stops mattering as much as your gear. I can get 100 level character put it into T1-T5 maps, give him appropriate skill level gems and he will die as often as 65 level.

There is no fun to be made in early maps => you will be doing exactly the same things on T1 as T15.

On the main build i agree, but on build theory chars i disagree.

I guess just don't do things like this if you don't enjoy them. People enjoy different things and that's ok.

91 is barely scratching the surface of endgame.
