Help with Shield Wall damage (Smith of Kitava)

Hi, first and foremost I am a casual player, kind of new to the end game. I gained most of my levels and about 30-ish divines from lucky drops or rewards for being a leech in temple run groups.

I am currently following a Shield Wall guide by Kris Droverson. His build focuses on Shield Wall being the main damage dealing skill. And from his video, he says that having more armour on the shield leads to more physical damage dealt.

Comparing both characters, of course mine looks and feels so weak. My POB on the POB program shows that the average Shield Wall dps is only 10k? While Kris' has a whopping 30k. Even with importing his shield over to my build, the Shield Wall dps becomes 15k at the most.

What am I doing wrong? Tips appreciated!

Its your jewels. The damage gained as lightning from heart of well and against the darkness is very significant as well as the shock damage.

His weapon has a skill speed corruption and he is using a double gain atd.

I assume his atd is on that armour break, rage socket but can’t tell on mobile. That would give him like 50% extra damage scaled by inc damage and skill speed.
