Yeah, 0.4 was quite a ride.
Even though, in my view, the temple in its current state isn’t great, there was still something positive about it. I honestly believe, and I’ve heard this before, that the only league where excessive currency actually feels good is your first one. When it happens again, people usually don’t like it as much.
That said, I won’t deny it was great for me. It was the first time I could truly engage with high-end crafting, simply because I had so much currency that I wasn’t afraid to spend it.
I sold a wand for five mirrors.
Bought a Temporalis for four mirrors, just to have it.
Bought a one-mirror bow.
Crafted my own amulet worth well over a mirror, honestly no idea how much exactly.
That would never be viable in any other league.
I’ve been playing PoE 2 since 0.1, but the most important part for me was how the currency abundance completely removed my fear of “crafting”.
And by crafting, I mean what it actually is: dumping absurd amounts of currency, spamming Chaos Orbs, and praying your Fracture Orbs hit on the first try.
Overall, I think it was an interesting league. The temple clearly has potential, at least in my opinion. And personally, building it was genuinely engaging.
It was the first endgame system that really clicked for me. A real goal. Something I had to work toward. Something where I knew there would be a concrete outcome at the end.
