0.5.0 date found from China post.

Looks like 0.5.0 will be late april for the show case, looks like early may will be the release date. This also means that PoE2 will no longer have a December release schedule, as 0.6.0 would have to drop at September the earliest.

Also means that were waiting for 70-85 days for 0.5.0.

Good for PoE1 so that people have time to play the league. Good for PoE2 to not rush out content that isn't fully ready to meet some arbitrary release schedule.

Great. I want to really enjoy 3.28 to the fullest.

Nah this all checks out

0.5 can launch Friday may 1st. 17 week league and 0.6 can be Friday Aug 28 for a 16 week league. 0.7/1.0 can launch Dec 11

Correction both 0.5 and 0.6 need to be 16 weeks for Dec 11 to work. Seems pretty reasonable to me still

OK the more they refine existing content, and the more they add new content, the more people will buy into Early Access. If they don't release 1.0 until end of Q1 2027, that only means that they've delayed giving away something for free that people are still actively purchasing for at least US$30.
That doesn't sound like a terrible situation for a gaming company to be in, if you catch my drift. I'm not pitching any conspiracy theory, it simply makes more sense to not rush 1.0 out the door, if the end result is a more polished 1.0, and you're collecting a bit of extra $$ in the meantime.

Ehh, I wouldn’t say this necessarily makes a Dec. 1.0 out of the question. I think people take the “every four months” thing a bit too literally sometimes. I get that it’s what they said and technically they’ve already “messed up” by releasing 3.28 in March. Jonathan said he cared less about the amount of weeks and more about getting the patch into the correct month more than anything. Since 3.27 released Oct. 31 they should have hit Feb. to stay on track with that, but I mean Feb. is a short month and they’re releasing in the first week of March so is it really a big deal?

Mark and Jonathan have both said it’s a four month schedule with a little wiggle room and hopefully people can be tolerant of that. 0.3 released at the end of Aug. but they released 0.4 ahead of schedule in mid-Dec. to capitalize on Xmas and also give themselves time to fix stuff before the holidays. All of which is to say, there’s no reason 1.0 couldn’t come in Dec. based on an early May 0.5. The real question is will they will have made enough progress to push another early/mid Dec. patch to once again take advantage of the holiday season. As long as they’re only “behind” by a week or so I don’t think it’s a dealbreaker. Pretty sure they will just crunch to hit their target.

Of course it could end up getting delayed to spring 2027 or maybe that’s their plan anyway, but I’d imagine they would really, really want to hit that holiday release timing.

TLDR: For the record, I’m currently in the “1.0 will be in 2027” camp, but I already thought that before this news. I just don’t personally think an early May 0.5 release necessitates a 1.0 release in 2027.

While I'm really looking forward for 0.5, i'd rather wait more and get a good patch

Pretty shitty if true.

3 months between leagues is perfect.

4 months is too much, but ok.

5 and more months is ridiculous.

Stop supporting a 13 year old game and get 2 finished and shipped.
