(noob?) Questions about endgame.

Hi guys, thx in advance.

  1. What do the "hands" do in breaches? I click on them but nothing happens. Also, concerning breaches. Are you supposed to stand in the center and the mobs come to you? Or do you roam around?

  2. How do you know which unique maps give you Atlas points? Some do some don't, I think the same ones keep appearing for me, do they give rewards each time or only one time? Why do they keep appearing if they're unique?

  3. Sometimes when mapping, on the minimap it shows me the location/direction of the missing events like essence, rare mobs, strongboxes etc. Sometimes those won't appear at all. Is there some trigger to this? Or why is it not always the same?

  4. Jewel drop rates (I play SSF) for some reason I have tons of blue jewels, they constantly drop, then a good amount of red ones but very rarely a green one (I play a ranger...), is that normal?

  1. Hands have chance to drop breach specific items (ie breach rings) heavily nerfed since .1. Play to your style / run around kill as much as possible
  2. Only one time - each unique unique map should give you points (though maybe this was changed for .4? - 40 total regular atlas points.
  3. Once you beat boss those will show on map as icons - ive noticed this is bugged and doesnt always show
  4. Cant speak on this much - sound right though as far as drop rates for no specific reason. Make sure your loot filters not hiding anything

  1. The hands can give you items like breach rings. They contribute to how many splinters you get when it's over
  2. Jewel drips are RNG, as far as I know
  3. If you kill the big boss in maps, then the rest of the activities show on minimal. The boss kil triggers it

  1. if you walk over the hand, it will give you breach splinters, which you can use to unlock bosses at 50, 100, and 150 splinters. its best to run around during the breach event so you can find as many hands as possible.

  2. centers of corruption will give you atlas points if its the level you have for a mission (e.g., the mission "complete a t12 corruption center" will give you an atlas), others will as well, but tbh i dont know which ones. i know abyss bosses will give you one.

  3. pretty sure it will tell you the location of missing things after you've beaten the boss, and killed a significant portion of the monsters on the map. if you beat the boss, but there's 50+ remaining monsters on the map it wont tell you anything.

  4. no clue tbh, but your observation holds true for me as a witch, i see lots of blues but very few greens.

  1. They drop a small amount of loot and also gives more splinters when the breach closes. I typically roam the inside perimeter of the breach to get the most kills.

  2. When hovering over the unique map, it will tell you if you will get points for completing it. You only get 2 points per type of unique map

  3. I have seen that the extra content shows after the boss is dead or after most of the mobs have been killed

  4. Rng gonna rng. Pretty sure drop rate is equal between them

To point #3 all map content (rarest, vaal, breach, abyss) show after you kill the bos plus get all checkpoints. I have to do this a lot sprinting through maps to get vaal temple crystals....so many hundreds of maps to just build my temple
