Chaos build help

the reason is chaos dmg is not good... 3 seasons so far and this season is yhe worst for it. all the good chaos builds were nerfed already and unlike elemental dmg there arent as many options support gem or node wise for scaling it high.

The one exception to this is Blood Mage who gets base 15% crit chance for all spells but then at the emd of the day that still only works well with crit based blackflame covenant.

I've wasted about a mirrors worth of divs this league trying to make a chaos build on lich and infernalist it just cant compete. Works for campaign but past t14 no go. Also if it takes that much currency for a build to be viabble is it even worth it you know.

one options would be get as much spirit as you can spec into totems and spawn a bunch of dark effigy totems to target chaos debuff dots from essence drain contaigen or poison. Its a clunky playstyle in my opinion its okay for bossing but dont expect to be melting bosses with high hp pools

Ran black flame covenant firestorm unleash fireball w wither stacking minions and minions gain phys as chaos sprinkled with crit. You can gain the effect of having a high crit build by using unleash since you’re always double and triple casting fireball so evened with 30% ish crit you’ll have a at least one hit with a high hit and high ignite dot. It’s doable but you gotta build reaaaally smart and be clever w minions.

Double dipping dark defiler scepter gain as chaos damage on a chaos build makes every chaos node twice as effective so that’s what I went for
