Guild mate boosted me 17 levels and now I’m lost.

Not screwed at all, it's only an advantage as you get the additional skill points. Map levels are based on waystone tiers instead of player level. Proceed as usual 🙂

You can always lower the difficulty by running maps T1 - T6, they are much weaker compared to T7 and T10, the "hardest" maps are T11+. You can slowly adjust your build as you try to find better gear. You don't have to wade into the really hard stuff right away.

Difficulty during solo play doesn't depend on your level so you being 17 levels higher only helps you. Just play lower tier maps if the higher ones are too difficult.

Do more temple, even if you collect chaos orbs each run you can earn 20div per run, some people tip also for doing temple with them so you can actually earn 30div per run sometimes

Your guild, if properly managed, should have hand me downs for players who need second hand equipment. My guild has equipment stashes for leveling and for starting mapping.

Otherwise, there's no requirements between your level and which tier map you NEED to play on. Just start at the tier that you feel you're farming the most efficient at and progress from there.
