Min-Maxing Stash Tabs, what to buy for 300/600 coins?

Hello, I am new to the PoE2 world and even before playing a single minute of this game, I am already strategizing and min-maxing what stash tabs to buy :D. I know it sounds ridiculous but I am a competitive gamer in general and always look for the "smart" play.

I researched this and read at least 50 threads about this, but most of them are outdated (1 year old threads not on the latest patch). So I am unsure about how to get the most out of it. I am also unsure if I should get the 30$ or the 60$ supporter pack yet, so I am strategizing for both cases.

Yes, I am aware that I should get the tabs during a sale and I am also aware that the number 1 recommended tab is the currency one. But how would you optimize the rest if you had a limited budget?

I will base the prices off of poe2db.

Would you agree with my assessment?

---300---

60 | 1x Currency | 60/300

40 | 1x Augment | 100/300

30 | 1x Gem | 130/300

30 | 1x Merchant | 160/300

120 | 1x Premium Quad | 280/300

20 | 1x Extra Stash | 300/300

---600---

60 | 1x Currency | 60/600

40 | 1x Augment | 100/600

30 | 1x Gem | 130/600

60 | 2x Merchant | 190/600

240 | 2x Premium Quad | 430/600

110 | 1x Stash Bundle (x6) | 540/600

60 | 3x Extra Stash | 600/600

  1. I am not sure if it is a good idea not to have a single normal Premium Stash. Just for coloring and naming I thought it is not worth it since the Merchant tab will do the trading now and I can get more normal tabs instead.

  2. From my research it seems the Map Stash isn't worth it because it seems most players keep only the high-end ones. And tablets (*dont know what that is, but it seems you have abundance of them) aren't stored in them.

  3. Ritual/Flask/Essence/Delirium Tabs seem to be redundant and are manageable with normal tabs.

  4. Unique one is for collectors, so not needed in my case.

How would you distribute 300/600 coins?

Thank you.

Map stash isn't worth it? Bruuuuuuh

That's the worst take I've ever heard of.

Currency, map, scarab/frag tab are the 3 most important tabs ever

Then, essence, flask, gems and if you are rich and go for luxury unique, cards

U need at least some 3 or 4 tabs for random items and if possible at least 1 quad. Quad is sooooo goood.

You don’t need more than 1 merchant and also you don’t need extra stash.

I would rather buy specific stash to keep my stuff organized rather than extra normal/premiun stash to have everything dumped there. But that’s personal preference

Currency tab, merchant and maybe extra stash or quad when sale is on

First of all, don’t buy any tabs until they all go on sale. Secondly, all the premium tabs are 100% worth if you find value in being able to control click your map loot into your stash and everything just goes where it’s supposed to belong, not just a random pile of loot in your stash, also you can stack things higher than the maximum stack size with the premium tabs. They also work in poe1 so twice the bang for your buck.

Personally I have all the premium tabs, three extra regular tabs that I use to allocate the last two types of loot there are not premium tabs for, a quad tab to dump rares into, and two of the merchant tabs, although I’d like more.

1 currency 1 map 1 augment 2/3 merchant tabs 2 quad tabs

I guess that's what I'd do. If you have some leftover just use it to buy more basic stash or some sick skill mtx.

As someone with 40 tabs and maybe 6 quad tabs. I am a stash tab enjoyer.

1st currency. 2nd socketables. 3rd gem. Waystone stash tab is worth in endgame. However i do have a couple regular stash tab for maps i have "crafted" and plan on running. I put them in there manually.

I think youll be fine with those 3. The unique tab is not required but its nice to just throw uniques in there just incase youre worried about discarding something valuable.

I think the first is really only required. Just grab a bundle on sale which is 5 regular tabs and a quad tab or two will get you by. The other specialised ones are just qol and its up to you which ones to go for.

You could always start with curremcy tab and as youre playing youll find out rather quickly at least by the end of the campaign which other tabs would make your life easier

my top picks to make the game feel better, currency(100%), gems and socket tabs(can go without), atleast one quad, some prem tabs and atleast one merchants tab, extras that you can get later on if you want, maps and essence, maybe unique tab, none are really needed, everyone will say different so just decide for yourself from what everyone says, i got everything but not needed just quality of life tbh

IMO gem tab isnt really worth it. You can buy gems at vendor when you need them. No need to hoard gems at all
