Temple question and is it fixable?

Built my temple to try and run both a snake and atziri. spent god knows how many hours trying to build the corner, locked the last room in the chain ran the temple and the rooms distablised leaving floating rooms. i thought this was supposed to not be possible? what did i do wrong here? (i am assuming either what i want to do is not possible or its because i placed the sacrificial chamber and the access room next to each other. and looking at the second image is it saveable or do i have to get insanely lucky next run?

You have to lock the room before and the room after the key room to keep it all. So if you have a long chain and the key room branches off of it, you can put a room after the key room with special tech, lock it, and lock the end of the main chain and it'll all be preserved. Hope that makes sense. It's not easy to do.
