They removed the perfect essence for focus. It now only applies to wand/staff. That makes ssf suck even more. The clue is to find a +2skill focus of any kind, do a perfect or greater orb of augmentation. Then essence for cast speed. If you have cast speed and +2 skills, then you can just gamble with as fancy exalts as you can, you might get lucky and get spell damage, crit or anything good.

I think staff is better for ssf, it's only one item to craft. But you loose nice things like energy shield etc from focus. But the chance of crafting both a good wand and a good focus in ssf is very tiny

I played ssf in trade league up to lvl 92, but then I hit a wall and started to trade. It's sickening how much you loose when you play the proper way, which ssf is. Trade sucks, but you need it after a certain level.

It's really really hard to get +2 spell skills from here. This looks insane but it's kind of just bait.

I would slam some exalts and pray, but I wouldn't invest further than that.

You could also desecrate suffix and omen of light trying to fish for the +2 skills but it's going to be a drain on currency you could use on other items

best advice is to play a more engaging game with actual endgame content
