Boosting friend for his ascendency

Hey,

I have done all my ascendencies. I can easily run temple of chaos without dying now. I want to boost my friend to get his 4th ascendency. How to do it with the temple of chaos ?

Can I have 2 fates with me et just run the temple a third time with them to get the last fate and kill the trialmaster ?

How do he behave ? He just follow me but do not fight with me, staying on top ? Or he can just TP on me for the trialmaster ?
