Difficult End Game content anywhere?

Pretty new to PoE, this is not a rant, it’s meant as serious and honest question:

What is the reason to build those insane powerful characters i see in here sometimes?

Besides the pure fun of tinkering, i don’t see any purpose, or i am missing something in endgame.

Juiced maps are not that difficult to clear, even with my picked-skills-on-the-go characters - what do you do with those overpowered characters?

I have the feeling there must be a layer of the game i haven’t discovered yet, how do i access the top notch difficult content?

Thanks for your insight, and sorry if i’m asking for something obvious

Solo most difficult might be abyss overrun with difficulty increases with every cleared pit. Sometimes I feel like the last few might one shot any build. Most of the time no problem so probably map mod dependent.

I asked this question too around a week ago and then I started playing something else. This thought process is the sign that you have done all you can for now and come back in a season or 2, and that's fine.

I come from Diablo where it's the same, but PoE just takes a little longer for that to happen IMO.

Full delirium is crazy. I get overwhelmed towards 10+/15 room. Double stacked bosses with so many adds. If you die, it's really hard to come back because the mob is camping your corpse hard.

There are some pinnacle bosses that are no joke. The big ice guy with the sword is a pain if you are primarily ice damage based. A very interesting fight tho. Don't remember is name Olereth or something.

Basically content that nullifies glasse cannon based builds is hard to me. I'm a permafrost Mercenary. Not a meta build for sure. My strength is CC. If I can't control the crowd I'm dead.

The endgame isn't the majority of the content in the game yet my dude. The endgame rework coming in May is going to add a lot but the extra hard stuff like Uber bosses will come with time over the expansion of 1.0 and upcoming leagues in the next year

Are you playing high tier maps with added difficulty?

What build do you play? Sometimes meta items are too strong.

It's an alternate way of setting to yourself a goal beyond the end goal.

After you learned to be methodical, considerate, learn the boss patterns and push your mechanical skills on multiple classes and builds, learning how to craft or trade up to a multi mirrors build that does in 5 seconds what took you 5 minutes is another way of personal progression.

Adding layers of difficulty like SSF or Hardcore is another, and it's also something that would make a lot of people go "why do that, what's the point?"

To me the biggest reason for trivialized content is the wealth of information available online, whether that be build guides, streamers, data mines, or whatever.

If you play this game blind it can be quite challenging to ramp a character to the point of trivializing all content.

I’m still a relatively new player, and besides Temple, the only content I really struggle with are juiced Abyss maps, especially with stacking difficulty from each closed pit. I’m playing a CoC Doedre Weakness build, which is supposed to be one of the meta builds, I’ve invested around 5k divines into it, yet I still find myself dying in those maps. Other than that, everything else feels easy, just like you mentioned.
