Game freezes after 5-6 hours of playtime

Has anybody else encountered this issue? I'm on a decently juiced rig utilizing a 4070 ti super, im assuming its a game stability issue. I'll be in the middle of a map and the whole game will just freeze up while the music continues to play. fortunately when i re-launch, the game returns to the exact state it was in when it froze (similar to pausing the game), so I haven't lost anything yet, however it's frustrating when you're locked into a map and have to re-launch the game lol

You can wait through the freeze and it’ll pop you back in soon as it freezes pause the game. Switch to vulkan in place of direct x 11

Keep waiting for like 30 seconds. If the gears start grinding again, you get the famous video driver crash. If you want, switch to vulcan, but it'll have huge cost. For me the vulcan is just unplayable laggy and delayed.

I had this issue too, and had a real problem in the viper caves in act3 even with restarting etc. didn’t matter- the only thing that worked for me is switching to Vulkan. Also got much better performance on vulkan in general.

Relaunch every 3 hours by default? Also a good time for a little distraction as kind of a break. Never played that long so I can't say what causes it.
