First sanctification, need advice. What to anoint? And am I missing any steps?

Hey guys, bought this base and ended up with this. Was hoping for spirit, but no luck. I’m gonna do my first sanctification on it but need advice.

What are the odds of desecrating spirit? I’m considering omening off the energy shield thing and hoping I get it. Or would it be worth it to omen it off and just get something else better anyway? Maybe straight up +40-50% ES?

What to anoint? I’m doing a home grown spell caster build as a lvl 89 shaman. Mostly fire. Triple fireball, living bomb. Using Archmage for spirit, and that other spirit that gives extra elemental damage to a random element. Someone recommended Cooked, which isn’t bad. But would love other suggestions; something viable to me but possibly good for others if I sell in the future.

Also, do I just keep caster quality? 20% is max right? Is there a different quality I should do?

Last, anything else I’m missing before sanctification? I’m new, any details help. Thanks all.

I think T1 spirit is like 0.5% chance, so prepare to use a lot of omens.

You can either quality caster for spell dmg, or Def for the energy shield. Caster is better. Anointing cooked is probably your best bet if you want to sell it later, but without spirit it won't be worth much.

Be prepared for sanctification to brick it, if you can't afford to brick it don't sanctify.

Should have fished for spirit prio to the patch when omens of light were 8divs, now payin 40divs a pop again on an amulet like this it aint even worth it

Update: I did not brick, slightly increased rarity and spell damage, slightly lowered the ES I rerolled. This is nice for my build and okay with it 👍
