Is it still worth it to buy the ea on ps5

I was originally going to buy this game when it first dropped on consoles but for some reason was unable to find it on the Ps store than kinda just forgot about it. but just recently i saw someone playing and the ea was there, and I was thinking about buying it but than i was just wondering if i should just wait till the full game releases and also wondering how much I’ve missed in the year that its been out.

Essentially i just want to know how much I’ve missed and if its still worth buying before the full game come out.

I would very happily pay $60 for poe2 in its current state. And you get $30 to spend in the shop (on stash tabs which you need anyways)!

I'd say yes, but then asking me my opinion of POE is like asking a meth addict "Is that meth good?" I'm way too far gone and there's no coming back.

Quite a bit has changed since EA released December 2024. Some of the bigger things off the top of my head, 2 new classes, multiple new ascendancies, a sprint function, and Act 4 and some temporary (interlude) acts were added.

0.5.0, which is scheduled to be revealed late April, sounds like it may be the biggest shake-up yet as they've confirmed it will contain major endgame changes. No one knows when the game will go 1.0 / out of EA, though some people speculate the end of 2026.

There's quite a bit of content to enjoy already. Depends if you're OK with a pile of missing content still. Acts 5 and 6, multiple classes (and weapons types) and ascendancies are still missing.

I can’t speak to consoles specifically. I can say they have been treating this EA like a soft launch with seasonal leagues every 4 months. Because of this layers of mechanics are slowly adding up. Meaning that there will be a lot to learn / experience if you wait for 1.0.

As it stands the community has been able to focus and learn new classes and skills / combos together when they release. Some people find poe1 intimidating to jump into now after over a decade of mechanics and interactions to learn. The way they are doing this EA everyone’s getting new content and progressing their game knowledge together while still releasing new skills, classes and doing balance passes.

If that sounds like something you’re interested in go for it. If you prefer a semi polished project maybe wait.

Can confirm that it is worth the money. I bought the game a week or two ago and have been having a blast. Happy I finally pulled the trigger.

Yes it’s worth.

You get $30 worth of premium currency in addition to early access, and you will need that to buy stash tabs even if you wait til the “full game”releases. There’s really no downside to starting now.. most people already consider this a 100% full game already

You don’t missed anything. You just did. It test the game for them . This is the ultimate goal of early access

If you are serious about playing this game and like cosmetic, do yourself a favor and get it on PC or at the very least Xbox, not PS.
