im struggling here, any insight or help?

I've been freezing and lagging up pretty much every boss fight and or getting disconnected more times then not its just the black cog screen after a few seconds of the game being froze up, ive lowered settings cleared cache, reinstalled, all the normal things, i tried a few other things i found like cpu adjustments, still happens, as far as gear used, this is what i have, 7900xtx, intel 13900k, 32 gigs ddr5 3400mhz, any help would be appreciated.

Edit: im also running m.2 drives so I dont think thats the issue but maybe?

Do you have engine multi threading on or off? Also have you tried switching from direct X to Vulkan?

Give this a try:

In Steam, right click PoE2 and hit Properties. In the "Launch Options" field, paste the following line exactly:

-unShaderBackgroundProcessingThreads 8

This will let 25% of your CPU work on shaders, instead of whatever the default is. If I'm reading the thread count on the 13900K right, you should be able to increase that number to 16, allowing for 50%. Don't go over 60%.

It's still a bit of a guessing game if Vulkan or DX12 is better, seems to be kind of case-by-case instead of strictly hardware dependent.
