How do curses work?

Hey everyone,

I want to make a blood mage build with Doedre's Undoing or Impending Doom and I'm looking to understand curse mechanics in depth, and how these support gems interact with them because they're kinda hard to model in PoB (At least with my limited knowledge).

Would really appreciate if someone could point me in the right direction or provide links to materials that are are about curse mechanics specifically.

Thanks.

This was also my first league getting a CoC Blood Mage up and running using curse. Lvl 98, strongest build I've experienced so far.

This guide helped with some curse mechanics and gear, break points

For videos - just search CoC Blood Mage, some people are explaining the build in detail. Personally I found this guy the easiest to follow.

doedras scales off the level of the curse it's socketed into. the higher the level of the curse, the more damage doedras will do. unsure about impending doom.

So start off curses do what they say Temporal chains slows enemies Enfeeble makes them weaker Despair makes them weaker to chaos damage Elemental weakness makes them weaker to elemental and I think makes them more prone to ailments

Curse magnitude makes curses stronger

Curse activation makes it proc faster because there is a short duration before the curse is applied

Deodres undoing turns the curse into a hazard or trap and it scales off of the curses level and deals chaos damage regardless of the curse

Impending doom deals chaos damage at the end of the curses duration and scales off of the curses level
