So how do I beat the trials as a tank?

I gave up on the trials this season. Paying for carrys from now on.

Put your shield up.

Bump up your life, take advantage of active blocking with your shield on weapon swap, invest in honour resistance relics. If it’s your first run and you aren’t planning to play in trade, you can use the first quest token to rerun the trials and open the urns/jars. They usually contain relics and then hope it rolls Honour Resistance.

Edit: This game encourages a mixed playstyle. Don’t feel pressured to be locked into just “bear”. Mix and match wyvern/wolf skills to give yourself some range if you’re struggling, or swap to a mace and use some mace skills with range. Alternatively if you’re going for a traditional bear druid style (as recommended by GGG) then you’ll be spamming volcanos and then slamming with bear, so you have ranged options.

I did sekhemas with ease with bear Druid. The key is to get relics for max honor and honor resistance. Also being relatively strong enough for it obviously as well. You can buy good relics off the Poe 2 trade site for cheap.

i too had this issue as a thorns player... you have to get hit to do damage... thats when i found out having your shield up does not reduce honor. wasnt the easiest, but it worked... if you still have problems id run to the chaos trials

Either more damage, different skills, overleveling or using honor resistance relics you find.

I went evasion tank last league and the Act 2 trial I defeated the boss in a flawless victory. You don't lose honor if you don't take damage and I just parried everything and avoided his ground attacks. Beat him to death with nothing more than basic attacks and riposte.

I did it on my thorns warbringer, I gotta get hit to do dmg, was the easiest sekhema I've done so far, block chance helps as does honor resistance relics and life pool.
