Seasons clarification

So I recently stumbled into a YouTuber by the name of Schwingy. I’ve had PoE2 for a while but never really dove into it given my crippling Diablo 2 addiction and just being at home with stuff I sort of know given that I’ve been diving into PD2. However, Schwingy has given me some hope that I can probably make a passable build(even if it’s not great) without being utterly incapable of farming enough to make adjustments. However, I’m not sure if starting now would be just a smidge too late for season.

Okay okay. I’ll get to the point. I’m not familiar with the season get ups. Many games allow for all the season stuff to be playable single player or off the season/ladder, but does PoE2 or will have to restart if I want the newest experience? Again, if there’s a couple months left, that’s more than enough to learn, but if it’s only a couple weeks, it might be worth to just wait until the new update comes. What’s the word folks?

We think the new season will drop in May. At that point you'll have to restart if you want to play the newest content. I think there's plenty of time left this league.

So there is a standard league your hero goes into after the season ends so if you end up wanting to still play the character you can. I believe we are two months out from the new season as well

As you are learning the game you should be fine. Once the league ends your character and all your inventory/stash gets sent to standard where you can continue to play.

The only downside is that any new league mechanics will not be present in standard, so you will be incentivized to start a new character. You will have access to most of the new content like balance changes, new classes or campaign/endgame changes.

the next update is estimated to be late april or early may. so around 60ish days left in the league.

I started .3 with only 3 weeks left. I learned enough to speed up my start for .4!

There’s more than that left for this season, so if you want to start - start! Have to find a profitable farming method for crafting material as raw divine drops are actually near useless. Have to sell stuff for decent divine due to a mechanic this season blowing up costs. But everything is more expensive so farming something to sell is just as helpful! Dont be scared off by any pricing 😀 the divine are achievable

We're roughly halfway into the season in PoE2.

(A new season of PoE1 starts in a couple of days, they're staggered with PoE2 like this.)
