I was in mid of the temple run. Placed a good pair of boots in the smith bench to get my 30 quality and whoop.. Disconnected from server. My lovely boots gone. Do not use any benches outside your hideout this weekend.
Early in the league, I had the temple eat a ring I was upgrading with one of the Exalted Benches, the server crashed, and when I logged back in the ring was just gone from my inventory.
The next time I entered the temple with that character, my ring was waiting for me in the first bench I opened up.
So don't give up, you may see your boots again.
As for taking the orb or upgrade currency from the bench to use later, that can't be done in the temples at lower level, but after a certain point there is an option to take it instead of using the bench on the spot.
That is terrible to hear. Similar thing happened to my friend. Support doesn't help in cases where gear is lost. They don't rebuild / restore the item to you he was told.
If you might not know it: instead of putting your stuff in there you can "take" the currency and do the crafting in your hideout.
Why not take the currency for later use.

I think yesterday's patch has broken some stuff, I just lost a Full juiced amanamu map to a disconnect. Different from the usual "DC", the message was "The game has lost connection to the realm". Logged back and portal was closed, "map attempted".
Just a man and his crossbow. Mercenary is duelist persona tuned up to 11 and I love it.
If only there were any clues. Could be anyone!
