Chaos spamming has got to go

Chaos spamming is one of the most popular ways of obtaining T1 mods on fractured bases. This process requires you to spam, sometimes thousands of times, on a base with fractured mod in order to get second desired T1.

This is not good. Very boring, mind numbing spam. Crafting 2-3 items makes your finger sore from clicking left mouse button. Sound effect is pure torture, so much that whenever I do chaos spam, I turn off in game sounds.

More than that, sometimes, you roll over the mod that you are looking for. It is very very painful when that happens. Imagine already spending 600 chaos orbs only to realize that you just removed the mod that you were looking for and now you need to start again. This is just not a good design.

We need alternatives. I don't believe GGG intended for people to sit in soundless hideout and click 3k times on items in order to get you craft started.

Would crafting be more fun if it was more deterministic rather than rng?

Rhis is coming from someone who (loosely) only knows Last Epoch's crafting system. (Put item in the center, then choose things to add (randomly rolled totals) or do some gamba)

The real problem here is that chaos orbs are too common.

Chaos spamming is fine as a mechanic for the very highest tier of crafting, the issue is that there was too much loot this season with temple so top tier items were within reach for everyone and so everyone 'had' to chaos spam lots of times.

Reduce chaos drop rate to 1/3 and watch chaos spam go away, people will settle for t2s and be happy with it, the expected power of endgame items for everyone but the most serious players will adjust downwards accordingly and everyone will be happy.

It's ridiculous, people complain about not being able to afford top tier crafting, then GGG makes it possible for everyone, now people complain about the top tier crafting process. Yes, the absolute top tier items are arduous to craft and require ridiculous amounts of currency, that doesn't need to change, we just need to make it so the top tier goes back to being the top tier and not the standard.

I gave up on chaos spamming. I perf exalt/annul spam instead. I made a +3 proj penumbra amulet early league and it took me 12k chaos to hit the +3 after frac spirit, I decided to never use chaos again. Cost isn't much different and you get results faster. Inb4downvotes, I get yelled at for it constantly by friends.

Yes they did.

I rolled over +3 to all spells in an amulet and it took 4k+ chaos to get it back. It sucks. We should be able to select a mod we want and at the very least the game stops us from rolling over it.

Maybe something like diablo2 where you can trade up runes and gems, you can trade up currency tiers like chaos using x amount of the previous.

I enjoy chaos spamming. The thrill of hitting in 10 chaos vs the agony of 2000 chaos is fun as a crafter.

Yes, some crafting of lower tier mods could be more deterministic. But 2nd mod on fracture item, which enables some items to have multiple different mod routes/identities? I’m here for it all day.

Lmao the duality of poe2. Poe1 players hate bases and just want to alt spam. Then we have this post.

Make a program to do it urself. My guild has one lol. U can put in the mod u want and it chaos till u get wat u want

Yea, it's painful. Give us the choice to either "pay" for the odds or gamble that we potentially come out better.

I can argue the same for divination. Likely only a problem this league and not going forward, but that's another painful process.
