Finally beat viper

Hardest boss up to now for me well not so much hard just reading the combat main issue was rolling at the right time with the guards and not blasting through flasks

The boss after viper was a cakewalk I though I was gonna struggle but surprised how straight forward it was to beat

I enjoyed the challenge of viper looking forward to the next challenge

Games amazing and for my first Poe game I’m already addicted and excited to see what’s next

Congrats on beating Viper! 🔥
That boss is such a big wall for most new players — the guard roll timing + not just flask-spamming everything is exactly what trips everyone up at first.

Super nice that the next one turned into a total cakewalk though... Classic PoE2 difficulty curve.

Welcome to the addiction, your first PoE game is gonna hook you hard. What build/class are you running?

Hey brotha congrats! That boss stomped the fuck out of me and most new players I think. That whole act is a huge change. In case you didn’t notice, they throw a debuff on your resistances there. And you’ll get another in the next act. So start keeping an eye on those for equipment.

I’m pretty far in the end game now but it’s also my first season, let me know if you have any questions or need help and I’ll try and break it down in a non complicated way for ya. This game gives almost no explanations to all the crazy shit it throws at you

Next biggie is the Kingslayer boss in one of the interludes, she is in a narrow area and has some chaos whirwind things that fill up almost the whole space. Raw damage and some chaos res is needed

For most new people, Jamura and viper are typically their walls. Jamura has a lot of area control, high burst damage, and up until him you didn’t really have to pay much attention to resistances. He also is armored, so physical damage is lessened and you’ll feel it if you’re not already chunking bosses with your setup

Viper is where you find out that chaos res is actually a thing and if your damage isn’t super bursty, you have to deal with the spear wall thing getting smaller 2-3 times. If you have a crazy damage setup, you can literally kill her in the air before the first set of spear walls. It’s just one of those things that really halts your progression if you’re not ready lol

Viper was big trouble my first time too. Prolly the biggest problem my first playthrough.

IMO she and her post-campaign variant are damage checks. I had so much less trouble when I had a good weapon, didn’t have to dodge as much stuff before winning.

For me, Viper has always been the campaign boss I've struggled with, no one of the other are anywhere near as bad. And I've ran the campaign in full about 20 times now I think since 0.1 (7 this season). There are twink builds for casters that can make a lot easier now though, an dI won shot here with thorns this season which was amazing.
