A joke
I say this on stage but it always works better online if I say it from my car

It has to be your timing. I thought it was pretty funny, but it does sound rushed. Im also no expert at comedy, just my thoughts. Good joke!
So the content of the joke is fine. Your delivery feels like you're reading from a teleprompter. The thing that makes a joke great is the delivery, you feel like it's being improvised. Your delivery flows exactly like you're reading it off a page.
In Finland, it’s normal to not name your baby until after it’s a bit older. Legally you have up to 3 months to name your baby.
Some parents figure out the name before the birth, some only afterwards. But usually the name is only announced weeks afterwards at a christening, even if the parents have already decided it before.
ITS THE MAYOR!
As a neonatologist (the doctor that takes care of those premies in the ICU) this is hilarious!

It's a coping mechanism. Some parents of dangerously premature babies are afraid to assign a name because they are worried that the baby won't make it. Their rationale is that as long as they don't assign the name, then they can pretend the baby was just a fetus and it was no different to an abortion.
