Crafting advice - Body Armor

I noticed some Path of Exile keywords in this post:

If you don't care about using an exceptional base, recombinating the 2 prefix defenses is usually how I go, then desecrate spirit. Alternatively, you could fracture spirit and then alternate perfect ex double prefix slam/annuls until you get lucky and hit the defenses. Or chaos for 1 and exalt the other, annul if missed. It's like, unlikely but not impossible, and perf exalts are so cheap compared to whittles & lights. Then you can whittle/desecrate the suffix res.

1. Up quality to 30% on your ilvl82 base
2. Aug/annul t1 spirit
3. 1 more aug + upgrade to rare
4. Desecrate, dont reveal
5. Div spam for max spirit
6. Fracture hoping to hit spirit
7. If missed, do whatever and start over
8. If spirit got fractured, focus on suffixes first since whittling omens target lowest affix lvl and t1 ele res are ilvl82 (chaos is ilvl81). You can use desecration to temporarily lock life regen or any other undesired suffix from the pool first, then cycle with essence of the abyss and perf essence of seeking to repeat the process if your ex slam didnt hit t1 res
9. Finally once you have 2x t1 suffix, omen of light your desecration and pray (or roll it with desecration).
10. Switch to prefixes. You can ex slam and omen of whittling safely because your affixes are ilvl 81 or 82.

This is how i would be approaching it

Qual to 30

Aug until T1 spirit

Fracture spirit

Chaos and x3 slam until 4 out of 5 T1 mods are on

Reveal last

I personally wouldn’t use whittles, but if you do want to speed it up, I would only use whittles on the 1st prefix (flat or %) after all of the resists are slammed on. You don’t want to use whittles or lights on suffixes with this craft, IMO.

This might be outdated as cheapest option because pricing has changed a lot since i last made a few like this.

If your doing 2 socket bases, buy a bunch, make magic, get quality to 20% and vaal infuse to 30%. 5% or so chance to get to 30% uncorrupted.

If your starting 3 socket bases, that can be expensive to get the base going, getting to 27% is like a 30% chance. If you will use a lock for 4th socket or sanc, pushing for 30% might be worth while. Depends a lot on base costs to finished value.

Perf Aug/Annul for T1 Res and T1 prefix (spirit or ES mod). I dont actually worry too much about hitting spirit here because its actually decently easy to desecrate as there is a very limited pool for prefix desecrates.

Perfect Aug for 3rd mod and make rare. Depending on the value of the base, I might try to whittle to ensure all 3 mods are desired before fracture, though there could be blockers you get. Then divine them up and desecrate and fracture.

If you hit Prefix, you annul down, chaos spam for T1 resistance, then dextral/greater omen perfect exalt slam for the other 2 T1 resistances. Annul if you miss, sometimes back to chaos spamming again, sometimes keeping 1x or 2x T1 resistance and then exalting again. When done, then you can perfect exalt a prefix. If it misses, use sinistral crystallization omens to convert to desecrate with abyss essence and rib. Slam again and if you miss, omen of light off the desecrate and convert the missed mod again. Repeat till you have your second prefix. Lastly desecrate roll for last prefix.

If you fracture the resistance, you can annul down, chaos spam the 2nd resistance and dextral exalt for the 3rd, annul on misses and repeat. After suffix are done, I would desecrate prefix and get life as a blocker. Then double exalt slam prefix. Here you can do whittle if you got a high tier life roll (suffix are safe) or do the omen of light or sinistral erasure method to reroll until you hit 2 preferred prefixes. Then desecrate last one.
