Creators problems
Problems creators are having with reach mostly come from the fact that TikTok is now flooded with content generated by AI agents, as well as accounts that repost and steal videos from other creators that already performed very well.
In the early days of TikTok, creators didn’t have to compete with accounts run by AI agents or pages built purely to farm followers by reposting other people’s content.
There are plenty of creators with 20k, 50k, or even 100k followers who are now getting only around 800–1000 views per video. TikTok also seems to favor certain accounts, but often only temporarily.
Unfortunately, it looks like the platform is heading in the same direction YouTube did between 2010 and 2015, when it heavily favored larger creators who were already generating revenue.
Personally, I don’t run my own creator account, I work in marketing. What do you think about this?
