what happened to direct messaging?

ill try to keep this short but id like my direct messages back thanks.

I made a recent new friend on tiktok and i went to text them 'HIIIIIIIIIII' but it got flagged by tiktok and the message didn't go through. So then I texted them 'hiiiii' all lowercase thinking it was just uppercase that got flagged and now I'm permanently unable to direct message????
has this happened to anyone else? Is there any way i could get my direct messaging back?
