TikTok image comments not showing at all in my country(and it’s not intentional)

I want to check if this is just happening here or if other people are dealing with it too

For around half a year now, image comments on TikTok are basically broken in my country. The feature exists and you can post images in comments with no issue, but when you try to view them they do not appear at all.

Not like a blank image or something loading forever, the entire comment just does not exist on your side. It is either completely missing or shows as unavailable comment. You would not even know someone posted an image unless someone told you.

This is not just me. Friends and family all have the same problem on different phones and accounts.

The weirdest part is that if you use a VPN to the US and open TikTok, everything suddenly works and you can see all the image comments normally.

So it feels like the feature is only half working here. You can upload images but cannot actually see them.

Is anyone else having this issue in their country or is it just something broken here that never got fixed
