How to add Apple account on Android version of tiktok?

I have a secondary account which I created on an iPhone using the "login with Apple feature". I'm trying to add this account to tiktok on my Android phone but this doesn't work.

First, "login with Apple" isn't available on Android so I tried with the respective email address and password which I retrieved from the Passwords app on the iPhone. Doesn't work. tiktok on Android claims this account doesn't exist while it is working fine on my iPhone. I made sure I didn't introduce typos when entering the credentials.

Does anybody know how I could accomplish this under the assumption that "login with Apple" accounts aren't generally barred from Android's version of tiktok? I suspect it's that for whatever reason but can't be sure of course.
