Is my viral video the problem?

So, I’m pretty new to TikTok, I started last summer. When my content finally came together, I was hitting 25k-250k per post. My numbers took a hit after the Oracle takeover, but in early February I had one start taking off. It’s at 2.6 million views and still growing by at least 40k a day, plus tons of engagement. I’m super happy about it, but my videos since then aren’t doing well at all. A few hit 20k, others around 8-10k, but now they’re around 2k-4k if I’m lucky. So my question is, does my post from February still pulling numbers make the algorithm only or mainly focus on pushing it, and not my newer content, even though it’s almost two months old? I even set it to “friends only” for a few days while I posted new content, but as soon as I made it public again, it shot up another million views in a week. I’m just not sure what to do to get my new vids seen while not suppressing my biggest hit

That’s what happened to me after my viral one too and it never went back. I made a new account and on my new account I have 1/10 as many followers and get wayyyyyyy more views and likes than the account that had the viral one. My viral video wasn’t in my niche and totally messed me up.
