Wedding teasers / reels on Instagram

Most of the wedding videos are filmed horizontally, that being said, creating a vertical reel for social media can be done with cropping and reframing, simply rotating the actual timeline or a combination of the two.

I see more and more often wedding videographers posting their work in landscape format ( full screen )

Others adjusting a horizontal video to square format and post it in portrait mode ( using black bars )

I feel that a reel of more than 20 seconds should be viewed in landscape mode for a more immersive feeling.

Nevertheless, I don’t want to spend hours on editing and then see my reach and engagement plummeted just because of the format.

What is working for you? What do you think about the 3 options I have listed? Any advice from

Si ton objectif est la portée sur Instagram, le vertical reste largement au-dessus. La plateforme est pensée pour ça, et dès que tu passes en paysage, tu perds souvent en rétention juste parce que l’expérience est moins naturelle en scroll.

Les vidéos paysage “plein écran” peuvent être très belles, mais elles fonctionnent mieux en portfolio ou sur YouTube que dans un feed Instagram. Les gens ne pivotent presque jamais leur téléphone pour un Reel.

Le format carré avec bandes noires, ça dépanne, mais ça donne rarement un rendu premium. Ça peut même casser l’émotion sur du mariage, où l’image est censée être immersive.

Ce que font pas mal de vidéastes maintenant, c’est un compromis : ils gardent leur tournage en horizontal, mais ils pensent dès le shoot à un recadrage vertical (safe zones, sujets centrés), puis montent un Reel dynamique en 9:16. Ça demande un peu d’anticipation, mais pas forcément beaucoup plus de temps en post-prod.

Et pour des vidéos un peu plus longues (+20s), ce n’est pas vraiment le format paysage qui aide, c’est surtout le rythme et la narration. Si ça capte dès le début, ça tient, même en vertical.

Any people that runs 100 to 10k followers pages (any social media)?

Hey all, I own a business that involves many clients that promote their product, art or website with TikTok (also Instagram, Youtube and Facebook). I want to offer them a way to post their content, or to get content created and posted for them on existing TikTok pages. Basically you got pages in a specific theme (sport, anime, cinema, culture, memes...) and you rent it for a specific period of time. You get paid every month, and all you have to do is basically connecting the account once to our system. You can opt-out anytime you want, you keep the full ownership of the account. That's basically a way to monetize your pages passively. For now I'm doing it myself with my own pages (3 tiktok pages with 500 to 3k followers, and 1 6k subscribers Youtube channel), I made around $800 renting these for less than a month.
