I’m surrounded by these gender affirming truck owners. These headlights have ZERO rules around them and we now have lights the same brightness as the fuckin sun.

I grew up very libertarian and completely against regulations. I feel very foolish about that now that I've lived in society. The first two regulations I can remember hating were seat belt and no smoking indoors laws in the 90s. Turns out those are both fantastic laws. Im so glad every place doesn't smell like stale smoke anymore. Good laws are good things

I've tried the mirror thing to reflect it back on them, but I don't think it actually does anything because it doesn't change a fucking thing.

They don't change their behavior because they're inconveniencing someone. They aren't ignorant, they're assholes. The cruelty is part of the plan.

There’s no law which states only certain headlights can be used or has to be a certain brightness. So car companies keep trying to outdo each other because there is no law to stop them

I live in hick truck central. I have a piece of plexiglass with with one way mirror in my hatch back connected to a string I pull that lifts it up. Trucks and those SUV with those insane LEDs back off from incredible speeds. Got pulled over once, and since it's just a mirror resting in the back, the cop said it's fine. He thought is was tint at first so he let me go.

There is also a problem with trucks with lift kits, if they dont re-align their headlights downward further then they are now pointing up into people's eyes.

Or work trucks with a loaded box. You should have your lights aligned WITH the heavy load in the back, because it tilts your front end upwards a bit

I noticed the last time I went to replace my headlight bulbs, that the extra bright “blind oncoming traffic” LED bulbs were more prominently positioned at eye level on the shelf. If you wanted reasonable bulbs, you had to look way down, almost to the floor. I’m assuming this is because of the significant price differential.

I'm a truck driver and I work strictly overnight. I am constantly blinded by these lights. Semi trucks have them too!

It's an absolute shame that we don't have respect or common courtesy for those around us.

Where i live, people are just driving around with their brights on as soon a 6pm hits. Im constantly crashing out when driving at night.
