new algorithm is horrible

i searched a topic one time and videos similar to what i searched start showing up on my fyp. this never happened before, as my fyp used to only show content related to what i actually heart reacted or added to favorites, not searched.

also when looking at my video analytics, SEARCH is now my second leading source of views after FOR YOU PAGE. i remember FOLLOWING would always come second. which means...

posts barely go to my followers now. it seems like the algorithm pushes my videos more to non-followers and new viewers (who arenʼt too interested in my content), instead of the audience that i already have and built.

as a creator, i realized that regardless of the amount of followers you have, you could still get low engagement. especially if your content is niche and fandom specific.

as a viewer, i realized that every time i follow an account whose content i found interesting, they stop showing up on my fyp. so iʼd rather not follow them then.
