Surprised at the commenters who are defending this idiotic decision to continue on driving a car that is in a state that is clearly unsafe to drive, and without hazard lights ! This man should safely pull over onto the shoulder that is clearly there, close and secure the hood and then safely merge back into traffic. Or drive wayyy slower with hazard lights on if he can’t do that.

This looks like the opening scene of a movie I would definitely watch. 😆

Reminds me of the time 18 yr old me went to buy weed in Cape Canaveral on my bicycle and it turned out to be a crack house. This crack head runs my bike over and I’m miles from home. He says he’s sorry and him and his gf will give me a ride home and we put my smashed bike in the trunk. Two seconds after we pull out a cop pulls out behind us and he panics and floors this souped up Chevy Nova and it’s on! Within minutes we’re on 528 west (formerly the Beeline, now the Beachline) and all I can see is the speedometer pinned on 120mph.

I’m screaming, let me out of this car as we approach the first causeway bridge and next thing you know the hood flies up and you can only see through a tiny crack between the bottom of the hood and the dash. We passed a state trooper on the other side of the bridge at such a high rate of speed he hadn’t even hit the lights and pulled out before I could no longer see it. By now I’m choking this guy from the backseat to force him to let me out of the car. He pulls off in Merritt Island and I practically stop drop and roll in a convenience store parking lot.

I called a friend to pick me up and as I waited I watched him drive by, back and forth at least a half dozen times with the tail of police cars growing each time. He eventually ran out of gas but I was worried for months that the first police officer saw that there were three people in the car and only two were there when they finally caught up to him. No police ever came to arrest me but I never saw my bike again.
