Tiktok algorithm. lets talk about it…

I don’t know why it’s not talked about much but TikTok is literally so weird and I don’t know if the algorithm purposely messes with you to try to get you to pay for ads and promotions or what it is… I have over 10,000 followers on TikTok and my videos tank around 2000 to 3000 views but sometimes I’ll have that one video that goes viral and gets a few thousand views maybe 20,000 sometimes 100,000 , I’m a growing creator and I just find it weird that I have over 10,000 followers but I’m not getting nearly as many views on all of my videos and I see other creators with even up to 100 or 200,000 followers and some of their videos will literally only have like 300 views , it’s really weird and I don’t know if TikTok doesn’t on purpose or what it is, but I see a lot of creators with a lot of followers and just people who have a ton of followers in general will barely get any views

Look at your content instead of blaming the algorithm. TikTok is now a search engine. Are you creating content that people are searching for? Is your content specific enough to draw an audience? Are you giving it all the help it needs to categorize your videos correctly?( text on screen, captions, using SEO) Not all content is created equally.

I've been seeing a lot of news videos about the war since it started. I feel like that might have shifted a lot of feeds towards that lately so people may not be seeing their usual feeds.

But if you upload on Tiktok Studio it gives you a lot of space to enter big description so make sure it's keyword rich for what audience you're trying to reach.

But yeah, having thousands of followers and no one watching could be people just avoiding the Follower tab. I occasionally see vids from those I follow in FYP but I think they shifted most of it to the follower tab. Which I tend to avoid because some people I follow upload like a dozen videos a day, it's kind of being spammed like crazy by some people.
