Is TikTok is bombing my views on purpose?? I can never get any engagement or likes.

I’ve had my TikTok account for my cat since early November 2025. At first, it started off as a way for me to share her. Then she got terminally ill out of the blue and month later. I changed the page into a way for me to remember her in as many ways as possible. She’s still alive at the moment, but she’s been through SO much. I make a variety of content. Cat health education, funny stuff, aesthetic stuff, sad stuff, and general updates for the very few who do follow along.

Now, I truly don’t understand why my videos don’t get more engagement. ANY of them. I spend a lot of time on all of them, and all of them flop. The only video I have that’s surpassed 1k likes is a reorganizing ASMR type video. I literally spend several hours sometimes filming and editing my videos. The page isn’t there purely for engagement, but it sure is infuriating and discouraging when something I spent so much time on fails like that.

Is TikTok doing this on purpose?? Every single video I post has that “promote assist” or “deals” underneath it that are visible to only me. They also appear on my fyp. I’m not sure where TikTok got the idea that I’m rich, but I’m actually really struggling. Caring for a cat with kidney and heart failure is very expensive. I’ve tried all the tips and tricks. Different posting times, different hashtags, audio trends, viral trends, long videos, short videos, funny videos, serious videos, ANYTHING.
