I was gonna say maybe it's because she's in love with her own intelligence then I read OP's bonus blurb.

She's right, she sounds boring and condescending to converse with, so people probably dont want to be friends with someone like that

These people act like they are burdened with "high intelligence" but in reality they love nothing more than to lord their perceived betterness over others.

She’s actually a great person on her meds

There are two things I want to contribute here, and neither one are my own words:

• In a video where Flat Earthers met Physicists the Physicists said “Flat Earthers are what happens when intelligence isn’t supported by education- it looks for patterns that don’t exist, and convinces itself that it’s right.”
• I think it was Hank Green but don’t quote me or him for sure on this, but it was said “Smart people aren’t correct more often or know more than others by default. Smart people are just better at convincing themselves and those around them that they have the best answer.”
