My Clinical observation on myself
I’m a doctor ..Recently, I started performing what I call a cognitive autopsy on my own behavior.
I noticed a really terrific pattern. After 2018, my thoughts weren't the result of my values. They were mirrored templates. My reactions were algorithmic. I was attracting certain types of reels because my brain wiring had become so reactive that I had effectively lost my deep work threshold.
Most of us aren't in control. We are being farmed for attention. How ridiculous , these people see ourselves as PRODUCTS . We think we are making choices, but we are just reacting to a high frequency digital simulation designed to keep us in a low dopamine loop.
HOW I CHANGED MYSELF.
I realized that if I saw a patient with this level of neuro-chemical dysregulation, I wouldn't tell them to be more motivated. I would prescribe mental health pills and be treated for few months.
I stopped trying to be disciplined and started treating my focus as a clinical metric. I implemented a First principles architecture for my habits:
The Dopamine Fast: Forcing high friction environments to claw back my baseline.
Executive Function Audits: Measuring my Information Processing Velocity through standardized tests.
Neural Reconstruction: Moving from passive consumption to active production intervals.
My focus went from a jittery 8 minutes to 2 hours of unbroken, high-friction work. I stopped being a passenger.
I’m currently documenting the long-term effects of this protocol. I am not a coach, and I’m not looking for students.
However, I am interested in observing a handful of other high-performers doctors, engineers, or professionals who feel their edge has been dulled by this simulation. I want to see if this Clinical Protocol scales to other high-stakes minds.
