MATH.... MF..... DO YOU SPEAK IT!!!
I really just think most online conspiracy theorists are frustrated from a lifetime of struggling to understand things, and being jealous of people who are smarter than them, so they believe these theories now so they can finally pretend they know something that others don’t. Also it’s just way easier to say something is fake than it is to try and grasp the math/science/engineering behind it.
This is so well put. Too bad they don’t believe in science and that lack of belief is the foundation of all their arguments.
Why believe in science that highlights your lack of education and, frankly, intelligence when you can just believe in a magical invisible man that says “don’t worry about how” and lives… well not in another dimension because that would be too close to science… way up high? That’s much easier to do.
I have an MBA. Which means I have almost no technical knowledge. But I can at least appreciate that an extraordinary claim requires some damn good evidence.
Can I explain how when I flip a switch the light turn on? No. But I generally grasp electricity and illumination with filaments and the like. So if you tell me it’s all powered by unicorn farts, I need the receipts!
My dad distrusts all scientists but will believe anything televangelists say.
But don’t you know all that data from the last 100+ years disproving my theory is just a conspiracy! /s
Got an annoying ass uncle that does exactly that. And other family members listen to him just because he once had a successful business

The anti vaxxers did do studies a few years ago.
It didn't go the way they wanted and said they were "disappointed"
