How I grew my YouTube channel from 0 to 35K subscribers in 3 months
Not sure if this is the right place, but I wanted to share how I grew a faceless YouTube history channel from zero to 35K subscribers in three months. I make simple videos reviewing how different countries developed over time, and some of my highest performing videos have over 100K views.
Here are the things I wish I knew from the start:
- Find topics with real demand before you script anything. If nobody is searching for it, even a great video will sit at zero views.
- Study the videos in your niche that are performing well. Look at the thumbnails, the titles, the hooks in the first 30 seconds. Understand why they work, not just what they are.
- Fix your hook. Most viewers decide in the first 20 seconds whether to stay. I rewatched my old videos and the drop off was brutal early on. Tightening the opening made a real difference.
- Check your analytics every week and let the data shape your next video. Your audience tells you what they want if you pay attention.
Right now my channel pulls in around 30-50K views a video. It is very doable if you stay consistent and stay data focused.
What things have you learned growing your channel? Let's help each other out.
