Am I the only person who wants to stay genuinely connected with people through their thoughts, not their Instagram photos?
I want to stay connected with people through thoughts, not their instagram photos of recent trip to LA. I guess a replacement could be like a group chat, but what I actually want is an entire space where I could see all my friends' thoughts and go through their headspace.. at least the ones they chose to share. Or it could be like X, but X is too informative. I want it to feel more genuine.
When I have really good conversations with interesting people, I expand my thoughts, go beyond my boundaries, and ultimately get to understand myself better. That's why this kind of experience matters to me.
And not only within my friends, I want to be able to reach out to the right mind to talk to. Someone that is also genuinely interesting. I could meet people irl of course, and I am constantly with people 24/7 and still, I feel like something outside my reach there must be a way to talk to the right person outside my bubble. Like on a subway, everyone is on their airpods, no one is talking to each other etc. I think environment for genuine encounter collapsed because of current social media, and I want this sort of intellectual encounter amid people to happen again. Like what if, if we could see their thoughts first even before we talk to them? And find someone that is interesting to talk to about that topic straightforward?
This process has really impacted my decision-making and career path at the most crucial points in my life, and I want this experience more. My biggest satisfaction is when my intellectual desire is fulfilled, and I want a better environment to do that in.
Does anyone else feel this way?
